Dylan O’Keeffe – “There’s no reason we can’t win it”
A return to form sparked by a manufacturer change has allowed Dylan O’Keeffe to re-emerge as a title contender in 2022.
After being Will Brown’s chief title rival in 2019 and a disappointing season in a Garry Rogers Motorsport Renault Megane R.S. last season, but a switch to one of the team’s Peugeot 308 TCRs has rejuvenated O’Keeffe.

Currently placed third in the standings, O’Keeffe experienced his best round at Phillip Island since his Ashley Seward Motorsport Alfa Romeo days where he scored his first podium since 2019.
O’Keeffe added another podium at Bathurst and he was on course for a second if not for a 10s post-race penalty for contact with former GRM Renault teammate James Moffat.
As the two previous seasons of Supercheap Auto TCR Australia have proven and O’Keeffe know only too well the importance of this after his 2019 title challenge was stifled by reliability troubles as the season entered its conclusion.
“We did really well and scored good points – the car was consistent, but we still have work to do in a few areas,” he said.
His results so far this season has O’Keeffe believing of once again contending for the series in what is the form model of the series, the Peugeot 308 TCR.
“Sydney Motorsport Park is the next round, it’s one of my favourite tracks so we’ll go well there and keep building on the championship,” said O’Keeffe.
“There’s no reason we can’t win it.”
Not only was O’Keeffe successful in Round 3 of the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, but he also contested the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour where he finished fourth outright and first in Class A1 sharing a GWR Australia Mercedes A45 AMG with Mike Sheargold and Ollie Shannon.
Supercheap Auto TCR Australia continues at Sydney Motorsport Park as part of a bumper Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships round on May 27-29.
