Vaughan leads Allen to race one victory in Sydney
After qualifying fastest, Brad Vaughan took the ex-FPR Anderson Motorsport Ford Falcon FG to victory in the safety car interrupted first race of the 2021 Dunlop Super3 Series.
Vaughan beat home young rival Kai Allen in a Safety Car interrupted race, a two-lap dash to the flag allowing the pair to battle it out.

Blake Fardell finished a stout third to commence his championship challenge in style.
It was a somewhat messy start behind the Super2 cars, second fastest from qualifying, Kai Allen (ex-Triple Eight Eggleston Motorsport Holden Commodore VE) was impeded by two Super2 cars having tardy getaways. He was fifth at the end of the first lap, behind Ray Hislop (ex-FPR Falcon), Jim Pollicina and Blake Fardell in their Holdens.
The safety car was out as the first lap was completed for a Super2 car off at turn three. Shortly after Hislop had a big moment at turn one but saved it, although he lost out Fardell – who had relegated Pollicina.
The next safety car was out five laps later when James Masterton plunged his Commodore off the track at turn one.
At the resumption, the race was set for a time certain finish with just two laps to go: Vaughan holding off Allen on the run to the flag.
Fardell finished third in front of Hislop and Pollicina, with Jarred Danaher (Falcon FG) sixth in front of Garry Hills (VE), Tony Auddino (Falcon BF), Steven Page (VE), Paul Boschert (VE) and Shane Beikoff (Falcon AU).
Chris Smerdon (Falcon FG) lost places on the final lap with low fuel while his Matt Stone Racing teammate retired to the pits after throwing a belt.
