Brad Harris Heads Ultra Tight Friday in Bathurst

Honda Civic brothers Brad and Will Harris have been split by just seven-hundredths of a second – and the Autoglym Lynk & Co of Dylan O’Keeffe – in the final practice session of this weekend’s final round of the 2024 Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series at Bathurst.

Brad Harris set a 2m16.1014-second lap in his #74 Exclusive Switchboards Civic in the 30 minute hit-out, just 0.0545-seconds faster than the Ash Seward Motorsport-run Lynk & Co.

Brad’s twin Will – at the wheel of the Civic formerly driven by former TCR Australia series champ Tony D’Alberto – was just 0.0758-seconds slower than his brother.

Tufflift Racing Audi pilot Zac Soutar was fourth fastest from Valvoline GRM Peugeot pilot Aaron Cameron.

Supercheap Auto TCR Australia points leader and reigning champ Josh Buchan – who topped Practice 1 earlier in the day – was sixth quickest with 0.65-seconds covering the top six cars.

Jordan Cox was seventh quickest in the Shaeffler GRM Peugeot from Tom Oliphant’s HMO Customer Racing Hyundai i30N, Ryan Casha’s GRM Peugeot, Ben Bargwanna’s Hangcha Peugeot and Kiwi debutante Blake Knowles’ Audi.

The TCR Australia cars will return to the Mountain on Saturday for a twopart qualifying session beginning tomorrow at 9.10am local time with Race 1 at 2.05pm AEDT.
