Trico Trans Am VAILO Adelaide 500 Schedule Revealed

The schedule for the 2024 Trico Trans Am Series finale at the VAILO Adelaide 500 from November 14-17 has been revealed.

Backing up from the penultimate round at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst International from November 8-10, the field will have the first of two 20-minute practice sessions on the opening day of the event at 10:40am local time. The light Thursday workload a welcome piece of news given the quick turnaround required between events.

A bumper Friday schedule will follow with Trans Am kicking off the day’s action on track with Practice 2 at 9:10am. The series will utilise a split qualifying, commencing at 11:15am, to assist with the expanded grid expected to tackle the Adelaide Street Circuit. The first of three races for the weekend takes place at 3:30pm local time.

The Trans Am field will once again take the honour of being first up on the Saturday, kicking off the excitement with Race 2 of the weekend at 9:20am. Sunday’s season finale will act as the curtain-raiser to the Supercars Championship’s Top 10 Shootout, with the title-deciding race scheduled for 11:50am.

Two rounds remain in 2024, with South Australian driver Todd Hazelwood leading the Drivers’ Standings by 32 points over reigning champion James Moffat. Jordan Boys (47 points behind) and James Golding (94 points behind) are both well in the hunt as well from third and fourth in the points.
