Mountain to the City Challenge Announced for Trico Trans Am

The Trico Trans Am Series have announced a two-round series (within the 7 round National Series) to be held across the final two weeks of the season at Mount Panorama and the Adelaide Street Circuit.

Dubbed the ‘Mountain to the City’, the miniseries has been introduced to provide added competition and incentive to competitors with the field tackling two iconic venues in the space of one week.

The Supercheap Auto Bathurst International will host the penultimate round of the season from November 8-9, with a two-day format now dubbed the Trans Am 250. The event will be headlined by a pair of 125-kilometre races on the Saturday. Teams will then have the option to work on their cars at the circuit on Sunday, before bumping in at the VAILO Adelaide 500 on Tuesday or Wednesday.

For just the second time in series history, the field will take to the Adelaide Street Circuit from Thursday the 14th of November for a three-race weekend to conclude the season and crown the Trico Trans Am Series Champion.

The Mountain to the City series will see awards handed out to the top three drivers in Outright and Pro-Am as well as the highest performing Young Gun. Winners Belts, akin to those handed out in 2022, will also be awarded to the winning drivers at the Trans Am 250.

Teams who compete in both events will also be rewarded with a set of free tyres, which can be claimed in Adelaide.

With a bumper field of drivers expected for the hotly anticipated season finale, the Mountain to the City will be an ultra-competitive conclusion to another thrilling season of Trans Am racing.

The Trico Trans Am Series next returns to the track at Queensland Raceway from August 2-4, as part of the Shannons SpeedSeries.
