Touring Car Masters schedule set for Sandown return

THE SCHEDULE for the first Gulf Western Oil Touring Car Masters round at Sandown International Raceway since late 2019 has been set. 

The bumper September 16-18 weekend will see TCM return to the SpeedSeries / Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships program with four races to take place on Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are now on sale for the event and can be purchased online here.

TCM will take to the track for practice and qualifying on Friday, before the Trophy Race kicks off proceedings on Saturday afternoon, with a 12:15pm start time.

The first championship race of the weekend is set for a 3:35pm start and will be broadcast live on the Nine Network – check your local guides for broadcast details – on Saturday afternoon.

Sunday’s pair of races commence at 11:40am and 2:45pm respectively.

All four races will be broadcast live and ad-break free on Stan Sports across the Sandown weekend.

2022 will mark the 13th time that TCM will have raced at the historic Melbourne venue

TCM will join a bumper Sandown program that includes the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, Turtle Wax Trans-Am, Fanatec GT World Challenge powered by AWS, Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge and Australian Production Cars.

Fans wanting to attend the event can purchase tickets via motorsporttickets.com.au, while those unable to make it can tune in via Stan Sport’s Speed Series broadcast.

For those fans hoping to watch their favourite categories live, the action on Friday begins from 9:10am AEST and Saturday at 9:25am with both days to wrap up at 5:30pm AEST. Sunday being the shortest day kicks off at 9:15am and concludes at 4:40pm.

Individuals wanting to tune into the Stan Sport broadcast can do so from 10:30am AEST on Saturday and 11:00am on Sunday with the broadcast to end at 5:00pm each day.

Fans are being encouraged to pre-purchase their tickets to avoid queues at the gates and all tickets will provide access to the paddock and all areas of the circuit.

The SpeedSeries / Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships event at Sandown International Raceway takes place on 16-18 September.
