POLL: What is your favourite brand in Trans Am?

The Trans Am category has burst onto the Australian motorsport scene in the past few years, with a huge array of cars in the country, driven by some of the best up-and-coming talent, plus other racers looking to get the best bang for their buck.

Under the skin, every car is effectively the same. Same engine, same drive train, same tyres – it’s a common platform, born and created in the United States, used in many countries around the world.

While there are thousand Trans Am race cars around the world, there are only three predominant ‘brands and models’ that are represented in the class – Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challengers.

All three compete here in Australia, and at the moment, the Ford Mustang is the most popular, although there are plenty of very competitive Chevs and Dodges in the pack.
