Lachlan Mineeff reveals fresh look ahead of Bathurst round

Supercheap Auto TCR Australia privateer Lachlan Mineeff will contest his third Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour weekend, but this the first in the front-wheel-drive, turbocharged category.

After missing last year’s event due to his commitments in the prestigious production car event – which netted a class win – Mineeff this weekend enters with a refreshed livery emblazoning the Purple Sector Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR and career best result after an impressive performance in qualifying at Phillip Island.

“The new livery has come up fantastic,” said Mineeff.

“It’s great to have a fresh, new design, with similar ideas from our previous livery, to have more of an evolution, than revolution.

“It’s a huge thanks to Granger Design for working their magic to create a really slick looking machine. The new livery offers an insight into where we want to take this team.

“We want to embed ourselves in the top 10 in all three races this weekend.  Along with our partners, we are always focussed on delivering today and building for the future.”

Mineeff also welcomes a new partner in Complete Hire to join Equipment Dynamics, VAGParts Australia, Solo-Werks, Southern Star Truck Centre, Forza Brakes, AutoInstruct, EO Sydney and DNA Autosport.

Confidence continues to grow for Mineeff and he believes Bathurst provides another opportunity to add to his top 10 tally.

“We think we have built a car that balances great speed and handling with the reliability needed on the Mountain,” explained Mineeff.

“We are confident heading into the weekend and I honestly can’t wait to get on track.”

Supercheap Auto TCR Australia begins its third round at 8:50am Friday, April 15 as part of a bumper Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour event during the Easter long weekend.

Turtle Wax Trans Am Series, MRF Tyres Australian Pulsar Racing Association, NSW Historic Touring Cars and NSW HQ Holdens complete the bill.

All of the action will be live, ad-break free and on demand exclusively on Stan Sport in Australia.
