S5000 PARTNERS WITH NULON AHEAD OF BIGGEST EVENT YET

The S5000 Australian Drivers’ Championship is proud to announce a partnership with leading Australian lubricants brand, Nulon, ahead of the season’s third round supporting the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.

Established in 1980, Nulon is a renowned manufacturer of high-performance engine oils, fluids, coolants, additives and aerosols.

The Nulon brand will feature prominently on the nosecone and rear wing endplates of all S5000 cars competing at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit.

Nulon’s partnership of S5000 continues the brand’s commitment to supporting Australian motorsport, including teams and events in TCR Australia, Supercars, World Time Attack Challenge, Speedway, Drifting and various grass roots categories.

The thundering 5.2-litre, V8-powered open wheel S5000 machines are anticipated to produce an exciting four days of competition on the Melbourne parkland circuit, before an audience of up to 130,000 people on the final days of the event – set to be among the highest single-day attendances ever at Albert Park.

A field of 16 cars will form the largest S5000 grid since the category’s inception in 2019, with drivers racing for the prestigious Alan Jones Trophy.

Jones, Australia’s 1980 World Drivers’ Champion, will present his eponymous trophy to the winner of Sunday’s final race.

Nulon S5000 will contest two practice sessions and qualifying on Thursday, before three races on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Live coverage of Nulon S5000 from the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix will be broadcast predominantly on Fox Sports and Kayo.
