Fullgas Racing set for Bathurst 6 Hour challenge

FULLGAS Racing will tackle their sixth consecutive Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour this Easter.

FullGas Racing is a small budget family run team from the western suburbs of Sydney that punches well above their weight.

The team won class E in their first ever attempt at the event, in our Nissan Pulsar. Since then they have developed a 2016 Subaru WRX STI into a fast and reliable Class A1 car with the help of amazing sponsors Nova Employment, All Drive Subaroo, Croydon Racing Developments, ProSpeed Racing, BRYPAR & Whiteline.

FullGas Racing’s main driver Dimitri Agathos has competed in motorsport for 16 years, starting in karting at the age of 9. In 2013 Dimitri competed at the CIK/FIA European Karting championships. He went on to win the Australian National Title in 2014. In 2015 Dimitri made the switch to Car Racing where the success continued winning back to back Australian Pulsar Racing Association championships.

Dimitri is the current NSW Production Touring Car Club Champion after winning the title last year in the Subaru.

Brianna Wilson will share the driving duties, having scored a class win in the 2021 6-Hour.

Brianna has an impressive karting background including National Titles, has raced front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, h-pattern, paddle shift, had success in Radical SR3 and also endurance races with Shannons Nationals.

This will be her 3rd B6HR and she has driven the Subaru at test days, including the Challenge Bathurst sprint in the lead up to this event. She is well and truly up to the task at hand and may even give Dimitri a run for his money.

“Where do I start…The Bathurst 6 hour is the event every Production car competitor wants to win,” Agathos said.

“It is the event that pushes everything to the limit, the car, the driver, the team. This will be my 6th Bathurst 6 hour start and I’m looking forward to a promising weekend, hopefully with a bit of rain. With a record field of 70 cars and 19 cars just in the A1 class alone the racing is going to be intense. I can’t wait to team up with Brianna for our first 6hr together, she comes with a lot of experience and is a great fit for the team.”

Said Brianna: “My aim is to be quick, but also look after the car. I want to deliver FullGas the best car I can after each stint in the race. Dimitri and I have co-driven with each other before and I have known Dimitri and his family since I was 7, so we really understand each other. We’ve done plenty of testing leading up to the event which is unreal. This year is a big field and will definitely open up opportunities, test patience and keep the team busy with strategy. I can’t wait”.

FullGas Racing thanks the team at Dukes Estate Agents for their support.

Dimitri will also be competing in the support class MRF Tyre APRA Bathurst Challenge in the Nissan Pulsar that won class E in 2016.
