Michael Clemente Motorsport and Carl Cox Motorsport partner up for 2022

Michael Clemente Motorsport has teamed up world renowned DJ and motorsport enthusiast Carl Cox to join forces that will see Carl Cox Motorsport become an official partner of the TCR team in the 2022 season.

The partnership with the British and Australian-based house and techno music record producer, and one of the world’s most in-demand DJ’s, demonstrates his commitment to all forms of motorsport, given his own aspirations in the drag racing scene as well as supporting motorbike teams globally.

“I have often watched TCR in the past, but was recently introduced to Mike Clemente and once I understood his ambitions and enthusiasm, I wanted to help him progress on his journey.” Cox said. “My motorsport passion has grown over the past few years and given the expansion of TCR, I felt it appropriate to support a young lad coming through the ranks.

“I am very excited to watch Mike’s progression through the season and have plans, if I can, to attend a race or two and give him the benefit of my global wisdom!”

Carl Cox Motorsport has been involved with some of the top motorsport events in the world, including the Isle of Man TT race, the Macau Grand Prix, World Super Bikes, British Super Bikes, Leadfoot Festival hill climb, the Goodwood Festival of speed and more.

Carl Cox began his DJ career at the age of 15 in London, and has grown to be one of the world’s top DJ’s, having played an annual residency at Space Club in Ibiza for 15 years, and is currently working on a new album entitled ‘Electronic Generations’ which he will be performing at live electronic music shows.  In 2021, he released his autobiography, entitled ‘Oh Yes, Oh Yes!’ showcasing his 43 years in the business.

Mike Clemente also commented on the latest addition to his 2022 partner line-up.

“To be fair, I thought it was a joke!  To have someone like Carl Cox supporting me in TCR is not something that comes across your table every day. I’ve known of Carl for a number of years, and always liked his music, but I think it really hit home when I saw his logo on the car and realised this was actually happening.

“When one of your team sponsors has over 2.8 million people around the world following them on Facebook, I feel honoured that he would get involved, and think it’s great for the sport of TCR too.

“I cannot wait see him at a race and show him the car in detail.”

Carl Cox Motorsport’s first weekend partnering Mike will be at the Phillip Island Round on the March 18-20.
