New Trans Am Mustang bolsters Nash Morris’ 2022 title attack
A new Ford Mustang has arrived for Nash Morris ahead of next year’s Trans Am National Series.
Running a dual National Trans Am and Super3 program this year, Morris has impressed since debuting in Karl Begg’s motorsportsales.com Mustang at Phillip Island.

Morris joined fellow young guns Nathan Herne, Kyle Gurton, Edan Thornburrow and series leader Aaron Seton in the burgeoning class, finishing a high of third at Sydney Motorsport Park before a clutch failure ended his weekend.
The new Mustang was bought out of necessity due to Begg’s increased racing program as Morris mounts a serious attack on the 2022 National Trans Am Series title.
“It’s going to be very good,” Morris said.
“I’m thankful to Karl Begg of motorsportsales.com.au for letting me drive his car, but now he’s starting to use it bit more we decided to get one ourselves so we can go racing, which is pretty good.
“Hopefully next year we’ll be running the full season, which should be good. We’ll run that, so it should be good fun and we’ll go racing every weekend.
“That’s the goal.”
With new equipment, the expectations have risen for Morris as he has aim in mind for next year.
“We’ll go for wins,” he said.
Morris is currently placed 13th in the points after missing the opening round at Symmons Plains as part of Race Tasmania, while a clash with Super3 at Bathurst will rule him out of the season finale.
