Work never stops during lockdown
Garry Rogers Motorsport and its pair of Renault Megane R.S. TCRs will be ones to watch entering the conclusion of this year’s Supercheap Auto TCR Australia.
A GRM employee, driver Dylan O’Keeffe has witnessed first hand the development completed while Victoria and New South Wales have been in lockdown, forcing the 2021 season into a hiatus.
O’Keeffe finished fifth in the inaugural Supercheap Auto TCR Australia season in 2019 for Ashley Seward Motorsport in an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR, he transferred to GRM to spearhead its Renault program alongside James Moffat.

It was a tough start to the campaign, but work completed between Bathurst and Sydney Motorsport Park was rewarded by O’Keeffe scoring Renault’s first pole of the season at the latter.
“We’ve worked through those little issues that we had through the early rounds and built up good momentum through Bathurst and Sydney Motorsport Park where we qualified on pole position,” O’Keeffe explained.
“We just had a couple of minor issues that bought undone and we didn’t quite get that podium result or the race win that we wanted.
“Now, after finding those fundamental issues we’ll be able to finish the year extremely strong.”
A test day is planned when lockdowns are lifted ahead of the doubleheader at The Bend Motorsport Park.
The next rounds of the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series will be held at The Bend Motorsport Park on October 15-17.
