Aaron Seton claims round win in hard-fought contest at Phillip Island
Three different winners have highlighted a competitive Round 2 of the National Trans Am Series at Phillip Island, with Aaron Seton claiming the round win.
The second-generation driver scored a pair of seconds and a first place in the last race, edging out Nathan Herne for round honours – a great result with new backing from the V8 Sleuth adorning the doors of his Ford Mustang this weekend.
Herne, driving his Valvoline Dodge, took a win in this morning’s rescheduled race after inclement weather yesterday saw the race delayed.
Herne finished second in the third race behind Seton.
Seton took second for the round, helped by his win in the final race.
Race 1 winner Owen Kelly failed to finish Sunday’s first race, but was the star of the final race of the weekend, climbing from the back of the field to eventually take fifth place.
