Shots fired in the opening two races of the Tasmanian Ten Thousand

A sensational battle between Aaron Seton and Owen Kelly is brewing after the first day of racing at the Roadways Tasmanian Ten Thousand at Baskerville Raceway.

Seton claimed the first two wins, although the first came in controversial circumstances when Kelly tagged the back of Seton’s loose #1 Mustang.

Seton finished second, but the stewards imposed a five second penalty to Kelly, handing the win to Seton.

The second race was a smoother affair, although the gap between them was never more than a car length, setting up a fascinating final two races, with the winner of the final claiming a $10,000 pay day.

Nathan Herne finished third in both races, while Brett Holdsworth trailed him in fourth neither can not be written off ahead of tomorrow’s races.
