LIVESTREAM: Round 5, carsales TCR Australia SimRacing Series, Sandown
The fifth event of the carsales TCR Australia SimRacing Series heads to Sandown in Melbourne tonight, in what promises to be a hard-fought affair.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no real racing can occur in Melbourne at the moment, although the online racing loop hole will fill the void tonight, with some of the best TCR Australia and New Zealand competitors fighting it out around the 3.1km circuit.
After a crash and bash fest at the most recent round at Surfers Paradise, the drivers have been told to get back to racing, rather than rubbing panels. No less than 14 different penalties were applied to drivers at the Gold Coast event, and the stewards have told them “enough is enough,” with even harsher penalties to be applied for deliberate mister miners.
GRM Renault driver Dylan O’Keeffe leads the series over Ben Bargwanna and John Martin.
The broadcast will be live from 8pm AEST, hosted by Cameron van den Dungen and Lachlan Mansell.
