Buzadzic Makes Racing Return in TCM Torana

Danny Buzadzic will make his return to motorsport competition for the first time in over two years this weekend driving a newly-built Holden A9X Torana in Round 3 of the Paynter Dixon Touring Car Masters at Winton Raceway.

Buzadzic has previous experience in the Commodore Cup and V8 Utes categories but has not raced since the Utes round on the Gold Coast in 2016. He said the Torana has been a long-term project.

“It’s been two years in the build but the end result looks fantastic and I can’t wait to hit the track!†Buzadzic said.

“Growing up V8 Toranas were the cars we all wanted to drive and every time I see one it always puts a smile on my face.

“We haven’t done a lot of driving in it yet and it is a brand-new car so we’ll be treating this as a test weekend.â€Â

Buzadzic’s Torana will be powered by the Touring Car Masters category-spec 6.0L V8 engine.

“It’s a good motor – it’s easy to work on it’s reliable and it produces plenty of power†Buzadzic said.

“We’ve invested in a lot of other gear as well including a full MoTec data system and everything else we’re allowed to do within the category rules to have a fast and reliable package.â€Â

Buzadzic’s Torana will be backed by Western General Bodyworks and Miami Smash Repairs with Sikkens also joining the team as a sponsor along with PartsCheck parts pricing and management software and 3M.

Practice and qualifying for the Touring Car Masters will be held tomorrow followed by two races on Saturday and another two races on Sunday.

Qualifying and eaxch race will be shown live on FOX Sports 506 and Kayo Sports.ÂÂ
