PAYNTER DIXON TO SUPPORT JOHN BOWE IN 2019

FIVE-TIME PAYNTER DIXON Touring Car Masters Champion John Bowe has shown off the new sponsor and livery he hopes could lead to title number six in 2019.

Bowe’s long-time supporters at Paynter Dixon have stepped up to sponsor the Bendigo Retro Muscle Cars Torana A9X this season which also means a slick new livery this year.

Existing supporters Rare Spares Apex Steel Payce Doric and Liqui-Moly – the last two having supported Bowe for more than a decade – also return on the now-iconic Torana.

To reflect the old-school nature of the class the stunning new black white and red Paynter Dixon livery is actually painted on the car rather than wrapped using a new Sikkens colour especially developed for the livery.

The step-up from Paynter Dixon ensures Bowe’s place on the grid after the late withdrawal of his existing supporter from motorsport entirely cast doubts on his ability to return this year.

“Racing is my happy place and after the sudden withdrawal of Wilson’s I had real doubts about my ability to continue racing†Bowe explained.

“The directors of Paynter Dixon are real race car enthusiasts and love the old style muscle cars. They are my friends and have been for years and very kindly offered to help.

“They not only support the Touring Car Masters Series as a naming rights sponsor but they have always been in the background of my world too.

“Now they have taken the naming rights of the mighty little A9X an I couldn’t be happier – the car looks fantastic.

“We have had the same colours for a couple of years but Gary O’Brien and his team at Bendigo Retro Muscle Cars have done a great job of changing it up for this year.â€Â

Founded in 1914 Paynter Dixon delivers property master planning design construction remedial and insurance services for building owners and occupiers.

Australian owned the company has a strong reputation for delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions in a range of sectors.

As well as becoming the naming-rights sponsor of the Paynter Dixon Touring Car Masters series in 2018 Paynter Dixon will also support the Historic Touring Cars NSW category this year.

“TCM is the best category†Bowe said.

“The exposure it gets on TV and in the media and popularity with fans means I can give back to my supporters. Long may it continue!â€Â

Bowe is the most successful driver in TCM history with five titles 96 race wins 37 round victories and 50 pole positions on his remarkable CV.

As well as securing the championship five times he has also finished runner-up a further four times and third in the standings on two occasions.

As well as contesting the seven-round Paynter Dixon Touring Car Masters calendar Bowe will return to contest key historic events with long-time friend Joe Calleja this year.

He will also contest the Bathurst 6 Hour production car race across the Easter long weekend.

The 2019 Paynter Dixon Touring Car Masters Series commences at the Superloop Adelaide 500 this March. ÂÂ
