INTERNATIONAL COVERAGE BOOST FOR B6HR
FOLLOWING confirmation of flag-to-flag coverage on FOX Sports Australia for the first time, the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will also take a step forward in its international coverage this year. The event is pleased to confirm that Radio Show Ltd, the company behind the iconic RadioLeMans.com brand, will stream the race to an international market for the first time. One of the best known global voices of endurance racing, John Hindhaugh, will also join regular Bathurst 6 Hour voice Richard Craill in the commentary box this year for the coverage which will mirror that broadcast on FOX Sports on Sunday, 1 April. The B6hr has featured streaming coverage since its inception two years ago, however this year is the first time it will be broadcast live on local TV and the first time it will have worked with a significant international streaming partner. The race coverage will commence at 11:15am local time on Easter Sunday and will continue throughout the six-hour race until the conclusion that evening.Sunday morning’s support races will also be shown on the live stream, to also be available via the Bathurst 6 Hour website.Though already well known to Australian endurance racing fans, Hindhaugh and the RSL team first covered racing live from Mount Panorama at the 2013 Bathurst 12 Hour, where they have since become staples of the broadcast each year.Their addition to the coverage of the Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will add a significant international audience to the Easter coverage for the first time. While the 12-hour features an internationally-recognised class, the unique nature of the six-hour grid will introduce a new style of local racing to a broad audience this year.Comprehensive live timing will also be available via the Event website. The 2018 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will commemorate the 80th anniversary of motor racing commencing at Mount Panorama.
