TYLER GREENBURY JOINS EGGLESTON MOTORSPORT

Greenbury will steer an ex Triple Eight Holden VE that was previously campaigned by the team in the Super 2 Series (formerly known as the Dunlop Series).

Eggleston Motorsport Team Manager Rachael Eggleston says the team is excited to see what Tyler can do behind the wheel of a proven race winning car.

“We havent had a chance to test so Phillip Island will be about getting familiar with the car and the team but we very confident Tyler will get in the car on Friday and be on the pace relatively quickly. He showed some very impressive pace in 2016 when he ran in the Kumho Series against some much more experienced rivals and proved he is capable of being a consistent front runner.

Each time we have ran a car in the Kumho Series we have won the championship and our aim is no different this year. Together with our team we believe we have the right car and driver combination to do the job again in 2017 Eggleston said.

Greenbury is equally excited about joining the championship winning squad for season 2017;

“I am very excited to have joined the team at Eggleston Motorsport. They are a very professional team and their results speak for themselves. Success in this sport begins with the team around you so I am very confident we have a great package this year.”

“After entering the Kumho series for the first time last year and coming away with 2nd in the championship behind an experienced driver like Taz Douglas was great. I learnt a lot from racing with Taz and I can’t wait to learn as much as I can again this year. I want to learn the right things from the get go and here at Eggleston Motorsport feels like the right place to do that.”

“We have worked very hard in the off season to put this together and I can’t thank my loyal sponsors enough for giving me the opportunities they have! The EDGE Designer Homes car looks great and I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel again on Friday” Greenbury said.

Round 1 of the 2017 Kumho Series kicks off this Friday at the Supercars Round at Phillip Island in Victoria.

All races will be aired LIVE on Foxsports across the weekend.
