BOWE UNDER THE RECORD IN P1

JOHN BOWE changed brands to race a Holden in this weekend’s Rare Spares Rose City trophy at Winton Raceway – but it hasn’t changed his one-lap pace.

Driving the new SL/R 5000 Holden Torana Bowe banged in a 1m30.31s lap to go 0.5s underneath his own pole record from twelve months ago.

Gavin Bullas was second and ProMaster points leader Eddie Abelnica third in his Falcon.

Mark King and Jason Gomersall completed the top five in the incident-free 20-minute session.

Greg Crick had transmission issues in his Charger and was only 13th fastest whike Glenn Seton and Jim Richards only recorded banker laps in their cars without setting a town.
